We are currently seeking part-time cat sitters and dog walkers with experience to join our team in the Cave Creek & Carefree area. We are a diverse group of contractors including retirees, educators, curators, and college students who are seeking extra or supplemental income.

Here's what we're looking for:

We are seeking an experienced Cat Sitter for vacation clients.  Vacation Cat Sitting is 1-2x per day (sometimes additional visit in afternoon) Sunday-Saturday.

• Ideal candidate is available Mornings between 7:30am-1030am & 3pm-6pm with occasional weekends or rotating availability. 
• Responsibilities will include visiting pets either once per day or twice per day. 
• Morning shifts are 7:30am - 10am
• Afternoon shifts are 3:30pm - 6pm
• You will be responsible for ensuring the security and safety of pets in the clients' homes during each visit

Must haves:

• Applicant must live within the Cave Creek & Carefree service area, has their own reliable car and driver’s license
• Someone who LOVES cats just as much as dogs! (We’re a 90% Cat and 10% Dog based company)
• Extremely honest communicator, responsible, reliable, driven, and passionate about animals
• Additionally, candidate should be able to work independently with lots of energy

As a pet care provider, your responsibilities will include:

• Providing daily exercise to clients' animals either inside or outside or providing enrichment and one-on-one attention to pets inside their home.
• Checking and providing fresh food and water and following the clients' specific instructions on daily feedings and treats.
• Picking up after dogs on walks or picking up toys and cleaning up any messes in the client's home and cleaning the litter box.
• Providing excellent daily communication with pet parents and being aware of any observed medical needs during your walk or visit.

To be eligible for this position, you must meet the following requirements:

• Prior experience working with animals (no just your own)
• Must be over 21 years of age
• Pass a background check with a clean driving record
• Have a reliable car and a valid driver’s license
• Have a smartphone with data, texting, and GPS capabilities
• Carry individual Pet Sitting insurance
• Live within Cave Creek & Carefree
• Be available during the times listed in the job description
• Have the physical ability to walk, run, pull, push, bend, or reach and lift up to 25 pounds
• Be capable of handling all sizes of well-behaved dogs and cats from small to large
• Possess compassion, patience, reliability and excellent communication skills
• Be flexible, willing to take last-minute requests, have great availability and most importantly, have a positive can-do attitude

The Good Stuff:

All services are contracted and paid per job, with a starting pay rate of $16 per job depending on length of time per job (ie: 30 minutes=$16, 45 minutes & 60 minutes = more money). Most jobs last between 30-45 minutes. After completing a successful probationary period, Cat Sitters and Dog Walkers are will receive additional rate increase.

Please note that this is a supplemental income opportunity, and you will not be an employee or receive employment benefits. We cannot guarantee a steady income, and this should not be relied on as your sole source of income. However, as a contractor, you can enjoy a flexible schedule, a fun and rewarding environment, and 100% tips, as well as additional holiday pay. You will be treated as a 1099 contractor and will receive a 1099 form at the end of the year to file your taxes. Additionally, you must be able to receive direct deposit via Zelle.
