Pet Care Specialist

Puparazzi Pet Care is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pet Care Specialist to join our team. As a Pet Care Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional pet sitting and dog walking services to our valued clients. Your primary responsibilities will include ensuring the well-being, safety, and happiness of pets in your care, while maintaining a professional and positive demeanor at all times.

Responsibilities:

1. Pet Sitting:

  - Provide in-home pet sitting services to clients' pets, following their specific care instructions and maintaining their daily routines.

  - Feed, water, and administer medications to pets according to the provided guidelines.

  - Engage in playtime, exercise, and mental stimulation activities to keep pets entertained and happy.

  - Clean and maintain litter boxes, cages, and pet areas to ensure cleanliness and hygiene.

  - Provide regular updates to pet owners regarding their pets' well-being and any notable observations.

2. Dog Walking:

  - Conduct safe and enjoyable dog walks, adhering to leash laws and utilizing proper handling techniques.

  - Tailor walks based on each dog's energy level, size, and breed, ensuring they receive appropriate exercise and mental stimulation.

  - Monitor dogs' behavior and health during walks, addressing any potential issues or concerns promptly.

  - Practice responsible waste disposal by picking up and disposing of dog waste in designated areas.

  - Promote positive interactions and socialization with other dogs and individuals encountered during walks.

3. Client Communication:

  - Maintain open and professional communication with clients, addressing any inquiries, scheduling changes, or concerns promptly and courteously.

  - Build and nurture strong relationships with clients, demonstrating a genuine passion for their pets' well-being.

  - Provide detailed reports on each pet's activities, behaviors, and overall health to ensure transparency and reassurance for clients.

  - Follow company protocols for documenting and reporting any unusual or emergency situations promptly.

4. Professionalism and Safety:

  - Adhere to company policies, procedures, and ethical guidelines at all times.

  - Prioritize the safety and well-being of pets under your care, identifying and mitigating any potential risks or hazards.

  - Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor when representing Puparazzi Pet Care.

  - Continuously update your knowledge on pet care best practices and stay informed about any specific requirements or special needs of individual pets.

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in pet care, such as pet sitting, dog walking, or working in an animal shelter or veterinary clinic, is highly preferred.

- Strong passion for animals, with a deep understanding of their behavior, needs, and welfare.

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport with clients and effectively convey information.

- Demonstrated reliability, responsibility, and trustworthiness in handling pets and clients' properties.

- Ability to handle animals of various sizes and temperaments safely and confidently.

- Physical fitness and stamina to walk and engage in physical activities with dogs of different energy levels.

- Basic knowledge of pet first aid and CPR is a plus.

- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, based on client demands.
