RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide daily visits, dog walks & overnights at clients' home.
- Drive to/from client's homes and conduct visits on time, in all weather types.
- Promote pet health and happiness through loving interaction, positive reinforcement, enrichment activities and playfulness.
- Ensure pet safety & wellbeing and the security of client's homes.
- Provide essentials: feed, water, medicate, keep pets clean & tidy.
- Keep dogs mentally and physically stimulated through invigorating walks, games and exercise sessions.
- Maintain a clean and hygienic environment by scooping litter boxes/poop, cleaning pet waste or body fluids.
- Assist clients with pet supply pick up and/or transport pets to veterinary appointments or other facilities.
- Be able to handle ALL types, sizes and temperaments of pets we choose to serve.
- Provide peace of mind and alleviate pet parent guilt with clear communication, quality photos or video featuring happy pets.
- Perform some administrative duties and post to our social media pages, as needed.
- Soothe, comfort and nurture pets that may be experiencing loneliness, depression or anxiety due to temporary absence or death of a loved one.
- Water plants, open/close blinds, manage placement of trash bins.
REQUIREMENTS:
- You must have a deep love, respect and passion for ALL pets.
- At least 1 year of experience handling dogs and cats while working in a pet care facility ( veterinary clinic, shelter, boarding, training, grooming facility, etc.) is required. Experience working with other animals is a plus. Additional related training credentials or certifications will be valuable in this role.
- Must be punctual, reliable, trustworthy, responsible, judicious, adaptable and have strong ability to work independently.
- Excellent listening, reading, oral and written communication skills are essential to effectively communicate with pet parents and follow instructions accurately.
- Your own reliable, insured and registered vehicle.
- Current Driver's License
- Smartphone w/ unlimited data, texts and quality photo ability
- Must pass a criminal background check and drug test
- Willing to Obtain Pet First Aid & CPR Training Certification
- MUST live in one of the following Metro Atlanta areas and be wiling to drive to neighboring cities: Marietta, Smyrna, Vinings, Kennesaw, Roswell, Sandy Springs, Dunwoody, Buckhead and Midtown Atlanta.
SCHEDULE:
Assignments are scheduled per client request. Depending on reservations booked and your availability, you may be scheduled for morning, afternoons and evening visits with some breaks in between. Those gaps will be unpaid and receive no compensation. Holidays and specific seasonal breaks require full attendance. If you are unavailable to work during those holidays/breaks, regretfully, we will not be able to consider you for this position.

COMPENSATION:
Pay: $10 - $18/Hr
Scheduling relies heavily on your availability and reservations booked. A set amount or monetary compensation is not guaranteed.
