Walk! ATX is looking to add a part time commissioned based groomer at our headquarters in South Austin.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about working with a wide variety of clients and dogs, who can self-manage, and to be a part of a growing local business that cares about your longevity. We offer regular raises, quarterly bonuses, tips, paid training, and employee discounts. This position is commission based, but you will be a W2 employee NOT a contractor (1099). This would be a great side hustle for an experienced groomer looking to grow their portfolio and experience.

There are also opportunities to pick up hourly shifts to help with our daycare and boarding pups outside of the grooming position if interested.

Responsibilities:

As our dog groomer you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health and well being of the pets while delivering exceptional customer service to their owners.

• Perform grooming services including bathing, cutting, and styling fur of various breeds
• Ensure the safety and comfort of dogs during the grooming sessions.
• Maintain cleanliness of the grooming salon, equipment, and the area.
• Stay updated on grooming trends and techniques to provide clients with the best service possible

Experience:

• 3+ years of experience in pet grooming is required
• Must have knowledge of all breed types and grooming trends
• Familiarity with animal restraint technique is required
• Client facing, management, and servicing is required
• Self management, building your own schedule, and grooming marketing
• Experience grooming in a daycare and boarding facility is appreciated
• Must be able to work in a fast paced environment
• Must be able to pass a drug test

Schedule & Pay:

• 4-8 grooms per week
• Starting pay: 50% commission per groom
• Collaborate with mmanagement to price and schedule grooms with clients
